The works of the following Filipino authors have entered the Philippine Public Domain based on the year of their death.
Please note that this is NOT an extensive and complete list. While efforts were made to ensure that works listed here have indeed entered the Philippine public domain, the public is still advised to exercise caution in the use of these works especially for commercial, non-academic purposes since some rights (i.e. related or neighboring rights) may still subsist in these works even after the expiration of the term of protection of some rights (for example the script or original music scores used in audiovisual works, which would require the payment of appropriate license or royalty fees).
Moreover, the public is advised to check with accredited Collective Management Organizations (CMOs) or Intellectual Property (IP) Agents in securing the necessary permission/license for the use of works with subsisting copyright, that is, outside of fair-use, as prescribed in the R.A. 8293, as amended or the IP Code of the Philippines.
